We call it corn smut. We cut it off and it ruined a good ear of corn. As a Mexican dish, it is a Delicacy! Sotomayor is most definitely to be confirmed as a Supreme Court Judge. So, huitlacoche for Sotomayor!
According to wikipedia -
‘Corn smut is a disease of maize caused by the pathogenic plant fungus Ustilago maydis… Considered a pest in most of the United States, smut feeds off the corn plant and decreases the yield.’
We traditionally looked at it as poisonous because it destroyed the crop. Now, we are given a different perspective on how to view corn smut:

It doesn’t sound that bad. If I had a chance to try it I probably would. But I wouldn’t grow corn for the smut. AND finally, if you feel you need to bring a blight to a perfectly good crop and effect them all for years to come, this is a GREAT use for it!
Looking into Birther Claims
It’s important that Barack Hussein Obama is a natural born citizen. But the only thing I found was why isn’t he President Barack Obama Jr.?
If you are someone who believes there is substantial information that he wasn’t born in the United States, I would like to see it. But…
1. The campaign presented a copy of his certificate.
2. If the evidence is not SOLID information, it would better to spend the time dealing with the issues.
Otherwise this whole Birther thing could just as easily be concocted by the Obama team as anyone else. He does like his distractions!

To illustrate the fear of Big Brother not controlling our access to health care, the Obama Administration is sending out a call-to-arms to their loyal minions. Government Death Care - Supplied vs. Given
Most people who support Government run health care erroneously believe Health Care will be GIVEN to people who can’t afford health care. Government entities do not give - they supply. This is where Socialized Medicine ALWAYS fails.
Dictionary.com gives the following definitions:
given … 4. bestowed as a gift; conferred.
supply -ied … 1. to furnish or provide (a person, establishment, place, etc.) with what is lacking or requisite.
The implications of a gift is that it is FREE and can not be paid back. Furnishing or providing implies a LIMITED amount of use.
I can give you many examples of governmental ’supplies’ ($500 toilet seats, Government Cheese program, Stimulus Checks, F-22 Raptor.) What do these have in common - very expensive failures.
The Cordon Bleu democrats have just caved because they cut back $100 billion in a $1 Trillion program. This is ONLY possible if Medicare is turned into something else, oh and there is this Board of Czars you have to go through, and you have to meet health requirements so you don’t go to the doctor (isn’t that what health care is for??), and you have to… basically taxing you (under penalty of law) to pay for NOT using a service!
The biggest part of this - Supplied… they can take it away anytime they want.
Palins’ Problem
If the next presidential elections were held today Sarah Palin wouldn’t have a chance. There are too many people afraid of her. Some people were told so. Some people saw something in her that reflected poorly upon themselves. Some politicians in her own party saw her as a threat and won’t support her. But whatever it is Sarah Palin has a big problem. She isn’t liked.
On top of that she has been exposed to the public in every way necessary to destroy her popularity. She made her final speech as Governor yesterday and she was attacked on her way out. On MSNBC, I saw a clip of Rachael “mad cow” Maddow spinning Palins ‘leave the new governors kids alone’ comment to basically mean she asked for it. But, I don’t think I have to illustrate people not liking Sarah Palin.
The reason she is feared is because she is beautiful and powerful. She stands on her principles and doesn’t give up. THAT used to be something to be proud of, but the Dippies and Rippies value popularity and scoring the most points more than integrity.
Well, I hope she has a good plan! I can’t wait to see!
The Point of the Obama /Gates Complaint.
Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary was on FOX News Sunday wit Bret Baier July 26th. This is what was asked and Gibbs response: ‘BAIER: …Before Wednesday’s news conference, did you prepare him for a question about Henry Gates’ arrest in Cambridge?
GIBBS: Well, look, let’s just say, it’s safe to say we went over a whole lot of topics that we thought might come up, and certainly, this was a topic that was and has been in the news.’ Transcript FOX News
In the Presidents Wednesday July 22nd response: “...Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that, but I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge Police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. Bill Cosby commented on these remarks Thursday morning and here is what he said: “I’ve heard about five different reports [on the details of the arrest],” Cosby said on Boston’s WZLX. “If I’m the president of the United States, I don’t care how much pressure people want to put on it about race, I’m keeping my mouth shut.” read here Christian Science Monitor.
Gibbs explains he went over the topic with the President before the Press Conference. Obama took the question and emphasized that it was about race before he ‘knew the facts.’ Finally, Bill Cosby puts it quite well in his own words, but here is mine. Obama should not use the United States Presidency as a tool to enflame racial hatred. And that goes for any race!
Barrack Should Apologize for Racist Comment!
Obama schlepping his Health Plan Wednesday called the Cambridge police officers actions stupid. The officers were responding to a break-in call involving Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. a friend of the Presidents. Gates apparently forgot his keys and was trying to break in his own house. Gates resisted the officers and they arrested him.
When Obama made the comment he acknowledged he didn’t have all the information (which is probably why he thought this was relevant to HR 3200), however he STILL judged that the officers were being racist.
Today, in a press conference, he admitted he spoke too soon and that Gates was probably over reacting. But he didn’t apologize! He, however, explained a different scenario than what was acknowledged Wednesday night.
If Obamas Presidency is supposed to prove we don’t discriminate against minorities anymore; shouldn’t our President admit to evoking racial prejudice, when he didn’t even have all of the facts!
Do Dippies only call for apologies when Bush is President?

Dippies and Rippies - Hippies that got into office.
The problems being addressed in Washington, DC are real. Our economy is weakening. The Health Care system is less health care and more system. We can’t just let terrorists attack…anyone. But the way our politicians are handling the issues of the day is more hippie than responsible representative!
‘Mom and Dad’ warned us about hippies. They said they are ’slackers’, ‘commies’ and ‘fools’! Whatever the names were that they called them, they called ‘em like they saw ‘em.
‘Slackers’ was from the hippies sitting around all day talking about the worlds problems. Discussion is what government is about! But the problem with the Dippies and Rippies is that they let the lobbyists and the special interests guide their thinking. Instead, they should be getting every opinion they can from their constituents and researching the effects of their bill. Why research when the information is brought to you, slacker!
‘Commies’ was from the hippies sitting in communes, sharing everything they had and finding a need to just get along. Taking care of your constituents is why politicians are sent to DC! But Dippies and Rippies feel the need to make issues out of problems they have nothing to do with. Then they try to make those problems their problems. And, finally, the solution has to be fixed by all of their constituents. Which is by definition, communism.
‘Fools’ came from how they were making choices without regard for the consequences. Making choices is hard. You have to make the right one at the right time. Dippies and Rippies get so emotional on topics that ‘if things aren’t done RIGHT NOW, every aspect of your life will suffer!’ Is that a threat!? No - it’s confusion. It’s fear. It’s the need to feel like you’ve helped. But it’s not wisdom; it’s foolish!
Our parents were smart because of experience. They didn’t attack your friends because they were your choice; they watched out for you and reacted to their instincts! They treated you with love because you are their own!
Rippies and Dippies are a problem in our government. These reasons are obvious. We have to hold them to OUR standards because they are OUR representatives! Terrorism would not have been as hard of a fight if they worked together! Our economy would not be in such bad shape if they would have researched the effects of their decisions. And everyone’s health care would not be OUR expense if they would have made the insurance companies and hospitals work things out with the patients.
We, as Americans, need to carry our weight and not let Rippies and Dippies do it for us! We need to force our opinions on them and insist they research their policies! Then we need to care for ourselves and when we have extra care for our neighbor!
Hippies are NOT an example of love and caring for your fellow man. They are an example of serving your own selfish needs(even if it is feeling loved) with as little effort as possible. Our politicians make quite a good living in Washington, DC, let’s make sure they earn it!
ObamaCare - Waiting You Can Believe In!
When was the last time you went to the doctor 3 months before you had any symptoms? Never; Right!?
OK, When was the last time you went in for a check-up and went right into the doctors office? Never; Right!?
OK, OK, Have you ever waited to go to the doctors office and found out you are sicker than you thought? Yes!?
Then, why don’t you go visit your doctor and take a copy of HR 3200 to read while you wait? While your reading think about parents taking their child to the doctor. They don’t know that their child needs surgery. After they find out, then they don’t know if the surgery will come in time and they don’t know if it will be approved! Because, admit it or not, the government can’t do a thing without paperwork; just like the hospitals and the insurance companies. We are contrasting the current health system with the current system PLUS government! ‘The names are changed to protect the innocent.’
This is a bill aimed at controlling YOUR health! If you don’t see it that way, think of it this way…how long can you keep from getting sick? Because like many cures, they need to be administered before the patient gets too sick for them to work!
These ARE scare tactics because what we are facing IS scary!
