Good Job Mr. President!

Posted By Guy Smylie | October 13, 2009

Obama is sending 13,000 troops to Afghanistan. I’m glad he’s investing in American excellence! The troops that are over there need the support of their colleagues. They already have their family and most of America. The only thing left to do would be to let them fight withOUT both hands tied behind their back!

Here’s the story on Obama’s Troop increase from The Washington Post.

Here’s a decision our President has made that I can support.

    Bring them home.
    Put them on our borders.
    Make them learn the constitution.
    Stop fighting other peoples wars.
Return my rights to cary a weapon with me EVERYWHERE I go.
… Without being fingerprinted, tagged and labeled!
Stop patting down law abiding americans in airports.
How can we defend our shores when all our fighters are defending someone else’s?
    Stop the spending.
    Stop taxing me into bankruptcy!
    Blaaaaahhhhhhhh!

    Guy,

It’s about time you supported our nation! President Obama has been working his but off to clean up a huge mess left in his lap and I’m glad to see you are waking up to the fact that one must support their Commander-In-Chief and their country. Maybe, just maybe…there is some duty, honor, country in you after all. Let’s hope.

Ha, ha…Guy, Pat Powers just kicked me off his blogsite because I was right about something and really got to him. He’s done it before and hates it when people like me shine a little light on the anger inside the man. Anyway, I have to admit that you seem to be more of a man than he is because you have never kicked me off this site for speaking my mind despite the countless disagreements we have. Thanks again for your support of our President in this time of War. Our Troops need all our support and God Bless them!

Gee, this is the night to praise Guy. I too would say you have a good thick skin Guy, that is at least one good thing about you. I don’t know how many troops Obama will send but hope and trust they come up with a good plan and the the right number of troops to do the job. And I do hope now is the time for the rest of the world to step in and do the community aid stuff that must happen (schools, farming etc.

As for these troops being ‘new” and Obama’s, that sounds not so clear.
Pentagon says many “already were scheduled to deploy under forces President Bush had approved”.

Maybe that is why it was so quietly done.

So my point is this, this is not Obama’s announced strategy for Afghanistan, that is to come and another opportunity for Guy to praise your great leader ; )

fan of sheila, I hear you, and agree with you on certain points.

Our current President isn’t the nation or any other President for that matter. That might be why you have a distorted view of Government and why Bush bothered you so much. Obama has served his own interests in sending troops. But he has done a good job. I guess it goes to show that everyone can do the right thing if they do enough things. He probably did it in private because he didn’t want the Nobel Organization to retract his award.

And BTW, when did I ever say I had to be right or you had to be wrong. If you don’t want to discuss issues that’s your problem. I’m going for the debate!

Bush bothered me. I don’t know if this will interest you, but it might. Way back when, when McCain and Bush were running I though John was not so bad and George looked way over his head. I shook my head when he got the nomination. So I had him pegged before he set foot in the WH. I think it remained over his head for most of his Presidency. I actually think Bush got himself hi-jacked by neocons. I mean how do you get yourself talked into appointing a horse guy heading disaster relief? I mean really, that says it all. Never mind about qualifications, pay back your contributors. Then there was Gonzales, Miers, it goes on and on. He was a frat boy in a mans job.

I wasn’t really impressed with Bush being the nomination either. I thought the whole son of H.W. was a little too, the way of England. I was highly unimpressed when the pundits called Florida before 20% of the votes were counted. Gore never had the votes and they still whine about it. But Bush pulled through on 9/11 and showed his true strength.
The Presidency being over Bush’s head would mean that it’s over any one Americans head. True Americans believe there is no class in America. That is because no one is too poor to help and no one is too wealthy to take down. That is what is SO great about capitalism. Everyone has the power to rise up, go down or stay where there at; and in American other Americans are there to help you out!
Buddy, You’ve got to learn how it is. People love you. Americans LOVE to see others succeed. It’s like a thrill. You see someone make a million and say to yourself ‘I can do that too!’

I got news for you, the ruling class are the rich ones and they have fixed things so they can’t lose. They are bright and use folks like you. I’m not sure it’s capitalism any more.

Yes Obama is rich, and Pelosi, and Reid, and Frank, and Soros,… I don’t think they want the freedom Capitalism gives to reject major aspects in American life, like Man-made Global warming, being able to upgrade your health care insurance, people who attack the greatness in American individualism, Bailouts without job-creation.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head; you’re just missing the second board.

From todays USA Today–Democratic members of the House of Representatives now represent most of the nation’s wealthiest people, a sharp turnaround from the long-standing dominance that Republicans have held over affluent districts.

A USA TODAY analysis of new Census data found that Democrats represent a far different constituency today than they did in 2005, when they were the minority in the House, or in 1990, when they were the majority.

The Democratic-controlled House is now an unusual combination of the richest and poorest districts, the best and least educated, and the best and the worst insured.

President Obama is doing a very good job in my estimate by sending more troops to Afghanistan to support his Commanders there and cutting executive pay for the companies who took our bailout money. Now, I expect our Commander-in-Cheif to make a good decision on fighting this war in Afghanistan like a war should be fought: ultimate victory by totally eliminating the enemy, even in Pakistan because that is what it will take. VP Biden has the correct position on this one: fight them until they are gone.

Come on Guy, where is your useless, waste of time blog about the “White House unfairly declaring war on FOX News”?

But remember Guy, all the White House said was that FOX News is an opinion entity much like talk radio is, not a legit news organization. So your job in your writing your piece will be to prove Fox is accurate, fair and balanced. Good luck to you.
