The Non-Government Solution to Health Care Reform.
We need to talk to the Hospitals, Insurance Companies and Doctors, as patients. The alternative is a growing monstrous debt for inadequate services, while politicians reap the benefits. What we would get is control back of our country and our health!
To do this, many of us would have to meet with these entities and ask them their feelings on the issue. Then those that agree to reform, would have to come together and meet with other entities and patients to learn where the problems are. Because without real knowledge, we could be fixing things that aren’t broke.
After we come together as a group we need to find actual solutions to problems; like people who don’t pay, patients who come in for unnecessary visits and those who don’t come in for care when they need it. Those who have experience need to be heard! I can tell a lot of people what to do but there are few subjects that I excel in.
Then those plans would have to be implemented. Business’ would have to get their plans enacted. Patients would have to get their coverage. Doctors, Hospitals, and, yes, even insurance companies would have to get paid.
Patients might have to agree to mediation before they present a lawsuit, like in Real Estate. Doctors may have to learn the word ‘no’ when dealing with unnecessary tests or pharmaceutical reps. Insurance companies might have to invest in better companies to close gaps.
This plan would take a lot of work! People would have to work together for a common goal. And there would probably be a lot of resistance. I think it would work, if tried.

No it wouldn’t work, you would have some people like you who would say no to just about every decent idea. It’s been studied to death there are lots of ideas on how to improve it. That is what is happening now, the Dems are moving on it, you just want it done your way. You lost, get out of the way.
September 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
The Dems can’t even get one plan together! You sound scared, Popalot!
And the reason I’m fighting so hard is I personally need to keep a plan, that is as good or better, than what I have now. So this IS PERSONAL! Get IT!
I doubt if this plan will effect you at all!
September 18th, 2009 at 10:31 am
Popalot, I have to delete your post because of the swearing. I was letting some of it go before and I’m sorry, but it has to stop! If you want to re-post, please do, but without the profanity.

This is a good plan. It brings back the human contact that is necessary. I also like the idea of a tax reduction for drug samples given to patients by the drug companies. I also believe in writing off all of your medical payments.
This can be done by reducing the amount of civilian federal employess.

Yes, reducing the tax burden will reduce revenue to the government, this will increase the deficit. This will depress the value of the US dollar, send inflation upward and reduce the overall standard of living. To fix that, we can slash social security, end medicare, chop the military and federal employees in half and concentrate on paying off the national debt with 20% unemployment. Which will depress the value of the dollar, boost inflation and sink the standard of living. There is a reason why things are done in the way they are.
You’re brains are encased in an impenetrable FOXfield, but maybe others might like to study up on why it’s okey to trust the gov.

The dollar is depressed because of spending by congress. America needs to lead the world by fiscal discipline, not going around begging for loans to keep our bloated federal government going.

Popalot, Your solutions have failed, because they are based on greed. ‘We can’t let go of any money that comes in! And it has to go to only social programs so more money will come in!’The reason that doesn’t work is most people resist being controlled. Would you like me to control you!?
The conservative side is to let people run their business with as few obsticles as possible. The more relaxed they are the more generous they are. If you have the option to make a choice you will probably be more caring and responsible! Wouldn’t you!?
Maybe you are so afraid of changing your view, you’ve closed off all other possibilities? I know your not afraid of Fox News. So how would Fox News change your point of view?
Final point, Why should you trust anybody who takes your money and does what they want with it?
September 21st, 2009 at 10:38 am
Oh, just hope people are generous. That’s mighty generous of you.
September 21st, 2009 at 11:05 am
I trust in people’s generousity!
September 21st, 2009 at 11:51 am
You say the opposite of reality, my solutions are based on greed?
You see me as the socialist, remember?
Trusting peoples generosity does not get the bills paid.
How generous are you Americans?
U.S. aid in terms of percentage of U.S. GDP is the lowest of any industrialized nation in the world. It’s true your churches and private donations are not counted in this number, and the numbers seem to suggest Americans are more generous on an individual basis then many other people’s, but even counting that, the total is still on the cheap side.
But the big picture is, you can’t even get healthcare to people who work low paying jobs. You’re solution is not to pay them more, you are against higher pay for them. Not everyone can go get a better job. Someone has to do the crummy jobs. I have to believe you don’t want “taxpayer” money paying for their healthcare? What is your solution so that all Americans can have healthcare?

Greed…you are bigoted! You call us greedy? Socialists are greedy! They don’t want to earn what they need and what they get is never enough! They want everyone to help them out because they don’t want to work! If you are not poor and need these services; you are making people dependant upon the services you provide! You hate others individuality and want them forced to be under your control! Real Charitable! Taking advantage of the poor and needy!
American generosity is the individual, churches and private companies! The government is what drags our numbers down! Further more, WE DON’T BRAG about our donations! It is far more important donating than it is getting tax-breaks or recognition!
The big picture is everyone gets health CARE and not health INSURANCE, currently! No one who needs(that is NEEDS) health services cannot find CARE in America! When people can’t pay their bill, that is why costs are as high as they are. And if there would be less people who depend on charity and less people abusing the system, our health care costs would a lot be cheaper!
If you bought 40 apples for $10. And sold them for $.50 you’d get $20. If 20 apples were stolen you would have to charge $1 each to get $20 to feed your family.
Can you understand HEALTH doesn’t have anything to do with government health care problem!? AND government taxing, penalizing and adding to the expense(by establishing a committee, for one example) will not help make it less expensive!?
You’ve been living in denial, for a long time. Wake up, my friend, wake up!
September 21st, 2009 at 3:45 pm
I make over two times the national average and I expect some of that to be taken away and the children in my nation are given a good education, healthcare, and not have to live in the street. I don’t want to pay for a lot of jail cells. Your arguments, that it is those concerned about the poor and the needy are the ones who take advantage of them is ridiculous. If Jesus returned tomorrow he would banish all the evangelical Republicans to a desert for 1000 years for missing his message.

I really would like you to read this article about the Internet and it’s development. You feel the free market is pretty well the solution to all, you have little faith in government.
Here, the researcher is going to your wonderful private sector.
“Taylor tried to interest private industry in his project, but the companies he approached dismissed the idea. IBM told him its computers already talked to one another, completely missing his point that their computers should talk to everyone else’s.
AT&T, then the monopoly proprietor of the phone system over which the network would operate, fought Taylor’s project tooth and nail, contending that the network’s “packet switching” technology (a method of transmitting data in discrete blocks) wouldn’t work on its phone lines and might even damage them. Packet switching remains the Internet’s governing technology to this day.”
You won’t like what this learned man concludes, but you can’t deny that if it was up to private business, the internet would still be decades away, if it happened at all.

So, other than you proving you can’t do anything on your own(charity, take care of your health bills), you prove you don’t know what your talking about.
Why don’t you ask your mom for a Hot-Pocket!
Taylor fails to take into account taxes come from the private sector. And government operates through taxpayer money, so your arguement is weak at best. But if he was really interested in making his “packet switching” to work in the private sector he could.
September 22nd, 2009 at 2:18 pm
BTW, Jesus didn’t teach irresponsibility. Love doesn’t mean give.
Why do you think you are helping, anyone? You must have a reason. Or is it just what I like everyone should like!? Because that would almost be bigoted!
September 22nd, 2009 at 2:45 pm
You, are a dinning room table. It’s a net loss and a net gain for you and me. If you understand the government industrialization with an eye to the “hoytzer concept” you might have a slight knowledge under which you could conceivable form a proper sentence. But since you have difficulty with your subconscious inner gooblety Goop, which manifest’s itself in verbal garbage, you need healthcare reform. I can talk just like you. Bigot, Racist, unamerican
September 22nd, 2009 at 2:53 pm
So, you know nothing about how your system works, you definately don’t know how our system works and nobody knows how the government option is going to work. Yet, you still sell the system.
You are a tool.

Where are you Guy, Clinically depressed? Got a gun? Why not use it?
The Senate will now pass a Public Option, dumb tool. It will grow so that anyone can join it. But don’t worry you will always have the freedom to support your local for profit outfit. It will be resurved for the dumb idiots like you.
