New-speak of the Day - ‘Most People/Republicans like HR 3200′

New-speak is an Orwellian term used to describe how ‘Big Brother’ could control the masses through the lack of critical thought. It also removed words so thought was reduced to positive sounds which produced positive thought. So in an effort to portray the Winston Smith character before I am mandated to use the word ‘goodest’, I present the Newspeak of the Day!

(where as ‘Big Brother’ was aiming for fewer words, this kinda does the same thing with MORE words)

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs commenting on Palin’s “death panel” remark - “I think we’d all be served better if the coverage of that was less about the personality of the former governor and more about the fact that even Republicans think what she said isn’t true,” Gibbs said.” - Palin vs. Gibbs: A press secretary’s nightmare’  - By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star . Gibbs is the last person who knows what Republicans think, much less conservatives.

Supporters didn’t get there early enough - “Many of the union members who showed up to support health care reform did not arrive early enough to get into the auditorium at the Harrisburg Area Community College, and thus were largely not represented among the 30 questioners called on by Mr. Specter. It was the angriest people who got in line first.” - Senator Goes Face to Face With Dissent - By Ian Urbina and Katharine Q. Seelye, The New York Times . Why would these angry people care about how their health care was handled - especially by an organization mired in failure, like the Medicare and TARP legislation.

The majority of the people don’t like the way the Democrat controlled Administration and Congress is pushing these half-baked bills containing half the ‘promise’ and 200% of your daily allowance of government intervention.

Every single person I talk to sees that bills are being rammed through the process, without being thoughtfully considered and debated. That is why there are ANGRY MOBS out there. Sarah Palin read the part where government committees will counsel the elderly on hospice programs(a government spending as little time on writing and discussing a health care bill, such as this one, will spend less time on the parts that are contained in that bill.) That’s why she uses the term ‘death panel’.

Everyone doesn’t like HR 3200, even democrats and liberals! If more representatives would have Town hall meetings, it might be more apparent.
