Woman of the Day: Julia Carolyn McWilliams

Posted By Guy Smylie | June 11, 2009

To prove my point here is my woman of the day: Julia Carolyn McWilliams.

Reasons: She served our country in WWII in the Office of Strategic Services.

She was a great business woman!

She made people laugh and was a great entertainer.

She was a great writer and teacher.

She brought people together, something politicians or even “Babes” can’t seem to do.

And she was a great chef!

Born as Julia Carolyn McWilliams she is better known as Julia Child. This is someone who can be looked up to and not just looked at. Her beauty can be seen, because you have to watch her to see the love that is in her.

If your daughter would catch you looking at Julia Child and her accomplishments, instead of ‘Babes’, she might actually know you care about what she thinks as much as what she looks like. And when they know, then you’ve influenced your child.

I miss Julia. She was real, had a unique wit, loved GOOD food and wasn’t apologetic for it. “Enjoy!”
