Photos from the AFP Summit

As I was packing at 5 a.m. Thursday, I realized my camera was nowhere to be found. I had the choice to keep searching for it, or make it to my flight on time. I chose the latter.

So to make a long story short, these photos are all from my BlackBerry. I’m pretty impressed by its capabilities, and the potential for civilian journalism.

From left to right, top to bottom:

  1. Friday was absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for a better day to rally on the Hill.
  2. Just a few of the hundreds of protesters that showed up to further our cause for limited government.
  3. The grounds are under construction already for the January inauguration celebration. Really, they are!
  4. I was taking a picture of a beautiful symbol of freedom… and the Capitol showed up in the background too! (j/k)
  5. A few of my fellow bloggers. There are about 35 of us in here at the moment. We all got blogging credentials and have access to a special room with tables, plugins (yay!), and a live video feed from the main room.
  6. It’s much nicer to blog in here than try to lug equipment through a sea of 2,000 excited conservatives. Herman Cain is the man on the big screen.
