If Thune wants Pork THAT Bad I Would Cook Him Some Ribs!
I don’t know if Senator Tim Johnson felt guilty for having so much to do with this economic mess or he JUST DID the RIGHT thing, but Senator Tim Johnson did the right thing. If you haven’t read it - among the tax break continuance and the FDIC expansion - it contains jewels like:
SEC. 317. SEVEN-YEAR COST RECOVERY PERIOD FOR MOTORSPORTS RACING TRACK FACILITY.
SEC. 325. EXTENSION AND MODIFICATION OF DUTY SUSPENSION ON WOOL PRODUCTS; WOOL RESEARCH FUND; WOOL DUTY REFUNDS.
SEC. 503 EXEMPTION FROM EXCISE TAX FOR CERTAIN WOODEN ARROWS DESIGNED FOR USE BY CHILDREN.
This “Bill” had to be done RIGHT AWAY!!! and it was written in two weeks and has 451 pages. I don’t know why anyone asks any Politician why they voted for this bill. It’s always ‘I don’t like the bill, but it HAS to be done.’ What a moronic/political response!
Senator John Thune on the other hand has been a political goon and an economic idiot. I was infuriated when he formed “The Gang of 10″ , but NOW he votes YEA on this Pork Rescue Bill. I don’t know who is running in 2010, but there WILL be a Conservative running against John Thune!
Thune has been a BETTER Democrat in the Senate than Tim Johnson has! Here’s the tally.

Don’t get sick. Get Mad! Yeah, I know Thune is a politician and he did the safe thing, but we have to do the right thing. And everybody knows what that is.
I’d even go as far as to say, if everybody DID the right thing, as they see it, we’d have very little partisian bickering.

Yeah, It’s time for Thune to go, as well as Johnson. It’s disgusting to see what happens to people who go to Washington for too long.
