Shocking News: Stanley the Rino Outspends Elli and Tom Combined
From the Rapid City Journal:
Adelstein outspends both opponents combined in District 32 race
By Jeremy Fugleberg, Journal staff Wednesday, October 29, 2008
In a three-way race for the District 32 state senate seat, one candidate spent more than both his opponents spent combined.
Stan Adelstein, the Republican challenger for Democrat Tom Katus’ seat, far outspent both Katus and independent candidate Elli Schwiesow, according to pre-election reports filed with the South Dakota Secretary of State’s office by the Oct. 24 deadline.
Adelstein pitched in $53,000 of his own money toward his $53,515 campaign tab. Of that total, Adelstein spent $42,998 on advertising and $10,500 in consulting fees.
Five individual donors contributed $1,265 to his campaign. Adelstein received $200 from the Pennington County Republican Women, $100 from the SD Association of Insurance Agents and $250 from the SD Association of Specialty Care Providers. The state Republican Party paid $638 for a promotional mailing campaign.

Everyone knows that STAN is a fossil.

No, no, no, ManWith…Everyone knows STAN is a South Dakota dinosaur.

I noticed that all the recent donations made by stan are missing from his report. How about the 165,000 bucks to save the music program in the rapid city schools. How about the donation to rebuild the home that burned down out by Scenic ? how about the 800,000 price reduction of his property sale to GFP ? I think Stan has spent over a million to get elected, anyone else ?

An astute observation, NING-WUT. There comes a point where charitable giving ends and paid publicity begins. Stanley the Rino pays tax when he buys a half-page ad in the Journal. However, he gets tax breaks and a half-page
adstory in the Journal when he donates some dough.October 30th, 2008 at 6:56 am
I think stan becomes very gratuitous and public during an election year. Seems like he is in the news weekly doing something.

Is any one suprised? When the final numbers come in, It might suprise some, But stan is making one last ditch effort to buy that seat, and it aint going to work. Katus said it. People are tired of deep pockets. It appears the people that love stan the most are people that benefited from his cash.Duh. Adelstein has single handedly destroyed the republican party in s.d. Obama will destroy our country. and now we will have a brain damaged Senator.Ya gotta love politics.

Sorry, Bill. Right now, I DON’T love politics. From my perspective, the wrong candidate from our party made it to the top, and the wrong candidate from the Dems made it to the top. Now, how did that happen, and what can be done to fix it? And why, once again are we voting for the lesser of two evils. And why are so many people taken in by the big O guy with the glib voice. I’m just plain scared, actually.

Bill:
One of the times I agree 100% with you. MO, I am sacred too, but we need to get McCain elected. Campaigns are about one person one vote! Encourage your friends and Family to vote and if we all do this Conservatives will hold the line and starting now Conservatives have to start working for the next election! All Conservatives are waiting for the next Reagan, we have to encourage Conservatives now.

Mo, You could not be more correct. But, please consider this, The repub. party is and has been made up of all kinds of beliefs. Socially conservative,Fiscally liberal and vice versa.Radical right wing. Moderates etc. Yet, WE all shared some common beliefs like less govt, less taxes. pro life, Guns, personal freedom etc. Still, I think we were all republicans. Adelstein and the rino,s changed that. Divided us according to thier labels.and destroyed our party for their rise to power. You are so right, we have to encourage all repubs to unite under our platform and our constitution.and If there are repubs out there that cant do that they need to get the hell out of our party. LOOK OUT FOR 2010.

Well put, Mr. Anon. The hunger is there for a return to conservative values. We just need to give America the opportunity to express it!
On a side note, Anon, Bill’s a good guy to agree with. More times than not, he’s got the right answer to any question posed. We newcomers could learn a thing or two from him.

I’m sorry I ever, commented on Stan!
If anyone has a problem voting for McCain, just remember. If he’s a bad President, he’ll be easier to impeach! Then maybe Bobby Jindal or Sarah Palin could take over.
Barack Obama won’t leave office unless Michelle eats him.

Well, I never meant to imply that I wouldn’t vote for McCain, and we will continue to work hard for the party until we have no more work left in us. I’m just anxious about the future of this once great country. We are so far out of control in so many ways. Just read two pages of itemized indictments of the O guy. As a society we have millions of people who just don’t care about O’s dishonesty. And I know why and how that came about, and boy is it coming down on this nation now. Thanks for the good comments and encouragement, all you great conservatives out there!

Isn’t it amazing that when allegations of Obama’s corruption come to surface, the first place his supporters go is his website. Like, he’s going to say ‘Ohhhhhh, ya caught me! I’ll give up!’
November 3rd, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Now now, Guy, give em a break. They’re doing the best they can, since they don’t know how to think on their own. They’ve got to get their marching orders somewhere!
For the record, I have been to McCain’s website precisely one time… ever.
November 3rd, 2008 at 1:44 pm
I’ve actually gone to Obamas website about twice as much as I’ve gone to McCain’s.
Is there any scandals on McCain/Palin? I’m sure it’s from lack of effort. Ha!
