Refineries are NEEDED! Wake up, Union Co.!
I’ll make this quick. Ike hit the Gulf of Mexico refineries. Refineries are closed and GAS prices go up. The Price of light Crude oil has fallen $5.18 to $96.00/ barrel (It will fluctuate, as the day goes on.)
Supply, might have something to do with the price of Gas. Because, if you can’t refine crude into gas and crude is still coming in, Supply is going up! Then, with the law of Supply and Demand the price goes down so consumers will continue to buy the same amount.
Maybe, Ed Cable and the rest of his movement should focus on working out the problems they have with Hyperion; instead of working up lawsuits so it takes 10 years to build. Changes, they are a comin’!

I know it’s not as big of a deal as the Union County plant, but did you know that KMEG/KPTH are about to file Chapter 11? Actually, it’s Pappas that will file. The company is already drowning in red ink.

I hope the people of Union County get an oil refinery.

That’s too bad about KMEG/KPTH, they put out some great talent in the last 20 years.
feasant, I think they deserve one! The problem is they are seeing this as a curse, rather than an opportunity.
