If You’re Trying to get Something Done; Abstinence Never Works!
Apparently, the proof is Bristol Palin.
In an article, written by Drug Counselor Marsha Rosenbaum, PhD and manager of Safety First Project Jennifer Kern, they discuss Republicans don’t know how to handle Teen issues because their teens get pregnant and use drugs. In this article they fail to acknowledge free will. And on top of that, Abstinence and Drug-Free education is not supported.
Abstaining from Sex will always keep girls from being pregnant and everyone STD Free. Abstaining from Drugs and Alcohol will always keep you clean and sober. This is common sense. It ALWAYS works.
Bristol is pregnant. This doesn’t mean abstinence didn’t work. It means she didn’t TAKE the advice. Do we condemn people when they make mistakes or do we encourage them to do what is right?
The biggest problem of Abstinence Education is it’s not supported by their peers. You can see examples of it when you watch T.V. or Listening to Music or viewing the Internet. When you tell a kid they shouldn’t have sex. But then their peers say ‘you’ll end up doing it’. And you know the kid wants to; what will be the result? They will have sex. The War on Drugs is same issue.
If you say Sex Education works, you’re kidding yourself. You are basically telling kids different ways of having sex. And it’s “Safe” as long as you use a condom. That is misleading and it’s a LIE! It’s misleading because you’re relying that they’ll use protection. It’s a lie because a condom doesn’t protect against everything!
Sex and Drugs will be a problem with our kids as long as they are told it’s OK in certain circumstances. They need to be told NO and supported when they do the right thing! They won’t make the right decision all the time, but that doesn’t mean Abstinence didn’t work. It just means they’ll need a little more Love in the future.
