Drill - Everywhere There’s NO Oil and Tax ‘Big Oil’ - Now!

I was asked why the Republicans voted against the ‘Drilling Bill’ after they spent all that time in a dark room over the Legislative Break. My answer was it has nothing to do with drilling for more oil.

A few days before the restrictions on Off Shore Drilling, the restrictions were set-up for renewal. There has been a 2 Month drop in the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil from $147.27 to below $92 a barrel, over $50! Now it is shooting back up over $100 a barrel.

The Price dropped when President George W. Bush released his restrictions on the Outer Continental Shelf. It was dropping when the refineries were closed due to Hurricane Ike. Now the price is rising again due to this bill!

The bill does not allow drilling within 50 miles of shore where 80% of the oil and natural gas is . The provisions do not allow the citizens of the state to profit from Oil Revenues. In Alaska, they share the profits, which gives the citizens money from THEIR resources(like thoserebate checks) and encourages more oil production.  What the Bill does allow is drilling and production from 50 - 100 miles off shore where it may not be economically viable. Also, it will make ‘Big Oil’(the idiots term for a Bad oil company) pay more(which most people don’t know WHAT they pay) and invest more money into cleaner forms of energy(meaning NOT OIL).  A good quote from Pelosi is ’commit America to renewable energy’ because without our main supply of energy, we have NO other choice. If lies would burn, they should just pipe it in from D.C., and we’d all be warm this winter!

This is what the Gang of 10 produced. They ignored the working plan of those REPRESENTATIVES protesting in the House and compromised with environmentalist and anti-capitalist lobbyists for WHAT reason? Yes, That does mean John Thune had a lot to do with it! And probably explains why Tim Johnson came on-board!

Pelosi, the democrats and the gang of 10 are either Stupid or Corrupt. Whatever it is, will it matter when heating issues come up this winter?
