The United States is the Best Country in the World.
Gid, This last weekend, wrote on how Micheal Phelps is a Great Athlete. He’s won 8 Gold Medals to date and is breaking records all the time!
But, I would like to comment on an athelete that thinks America is Great. Kobe Bryant!
Kobe Bryant was interviewed about his playing basketball at the Olympics by Chris Collinsworth - NBC. Kobe actually expressed admiration and respect for the USA. He seems to actually have been seen cheering on other US athletes!
What’s wrong with America, when this is actually NEWS? I think it’s NOT News. And I think Americans LOVE their country and don’t care what other countries think about them!
Why don’t our Government officials get that and represent our pride?!

I love my country, that’s why I want it to be better, to be the greatest country in the world.
I recognize that along with our many virtues and strengths, we have a lot of flaws, weaknesses, and room for improvement.
1 in 10 Americans live in poverty. That’s not great.

Which country is Better than the United States then?
Is there a country that has a higher standard of poverty? I think those 1 in 10, have/ or have access to food and clothing. Most in poverty are there because no one knows they need help OR they don’t want it. THAT is not the same poverty in the rest of the world. That’s NOT great. That’s AMAZING!
But, we do have problems we need to work on. I didn’t say we’re perfect!
