Second Amendment - Gun Toting Conservatives; How’s That?
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be
infringed.
The claim is made that Conservatives are always clinging to their guns. Well, conservatives just know what the constituion says.
BTW, Sorry, for taking so long getting to the 2nd Amendment. This amendment deals with protecting oneself from government control.
The term militia doesn’t refer to a governmental body because the United States government at the time was trying to be independant. The colonists were haunted by governmental militias restricting their freedoms. This was not a time to establish a new one. No, the authors were giving the power to the people; so they could defend those freedoms when necessary.
To prove the sophmoric perspective of those who use the phrase ‘clinging to guns’ the Amendment says nothing about guns. It is commenting about protection from the government and there are many reasons, that protection is needed. Especially, when there are politicians trying to remove those freedoms.

There is a difference between observing people killing and having the opinion it’s a net gain when gun lovers kill themselves and being threatening. But you are too stupid to distinguish the difference. I can say that I hope one of your gun loving buddies accidently discharges one into your brain, leaves you all screwed up and your health insurance is dropped because your care is just too expensive. Then run through all you and your families money till you are broke. Unless you are on Medicare and that would make you a huge hypocrite. Which would not be a shock.
