Rock Star Obama?…Or is it just the Concerts before He Speaks?

Posted By Guy Smylie | July 24, 2008

Before Obama comes on stage he needs a couple things. Some rock bands and a teleprompter.

 Greatful Dead

The rock bands come in handy to get a lot of the “Rock the Vote” crowd and in this case the Dieselpunk crowd. They make a lot of noise and give the illusion of ‘people like me.’

The teleprompter….we know what the teleprompter is for, cutting down on the umms and the general boredom.

It looks like in Berlin, Obama’s best side is his Left side. Ha!

On the speech…he’s trying to impress the wrong people, unless he’s nation building? It’s basically a stunt in poor taste; giving a German history lesson to Germans and distancing himself from America, to act like their buddy.

He claims to be researching policies so he can be qualified for the office. But he doesn’t act like he has to run! He acts like he’s already been elected.

So, I guess his supporters don’t have to vote for him!

Rock bands to gather a crowd. Just a snake-oil peddler. While Obama did not speaking in German, and the teleprompter partially kept him from embarrassing us by speaking in that other foreign language he’s so fluent in, at least he didn’t say he was a jelly doughnut.

Well, at least he’s going to where he’s liked!

Yes, and America is the WHOLE world. And when our children ask what those other strange blots on the atlas are, we just tell them that they don’t matter–what matters is America! Land of the Free! Home of the Deceived!
I don’t see why Obama’s trip is getting slammed like this. Because of President Bush, our foreign relations is down the tubes. And so it stands that we need to reform them–and, if America can finally get the dirt the Administration has kicked into our eyes out, maybe we could see that the reason why Obama is popular overseas is not because of the rock shows, but because the people over there ACTUALLY LIKE HIM.
But I’m sure the ignorant parties will still argue that we don’t Obama to “buddy” up with the Germans–the next thing will be the Obama is a Muslim Nazi!

    Further Note:
Sure, you may call Obama a jelly donut. And sure, he used a teleprompter. But consider this:
It’s not like our current President, FYI, has EVER embarrassed us with a lack of verbal competency(Ex. 1: “Our enemies our innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about ways to harm our country and our people, and so are we.” Ex. 2: “Those who enter the country illegally violate the law.” Ex. 3: My personal favorite, spoken to a single mother of three, “I know how hard it is to put food on your family.”). And all this he has spoken in the English language! And, God forbid, I actually try to count the “umms” Bush had said while addressing the country!

So you’re saying when Barack nation builds, when he hasn’t even been elected, THAT’S OK!
My point is the Europeans CAN like him they won’t be putting up with him for the next four years. We have that threat. They aren’t voting for him. I won’t comment on how sophmoric explaining that to you is.
I wasn’t commenting on Our Presidents verbal mistakes. But he at least makes an effort to debate issues with the public. Obama fails miserably when it comes to debate.
