Hey, Hey, Crude Oil Prices Dropped $18.39 a Barrel this Past Week!

Posted By Guy Smylie | July 18, 2008

Last Friday Oil prices rose to an all time high to $147.27/barrel.

Today Friday July 18, 2008 the market closed at $128.88/barrel. That’s $18.39/ barrel change in a week. Good thing there’s stuff going on in Iran. Or else the press would have to report Bush’s release of OCS restrictions on drilling and consumers reducing consumption are causing oil prices to drop. I’m not saying that the press isn’t covering the story. I’m saying Oil Prices held a  little more importance last week when they were going up.

And here’s a story this morning from the AP on how the Oil prices are going back up.

But don’t listen to the stock market or look at ’supply and demand’.  Wait for Al Gore to tell you what needs to be done. One of the most over-rated, unedjucated unintelligent presidential candidates to ‘run’ for president maybe ever.

We need to push our representatives to drill for oil, until there are viable alternatives. If things keep progressing maybe people will be able to afford heating oil by the time cold weather comes.

If we would just look like we’re serious about solving our own energy problems, prices would almost certainly go down. But as long as America keeps telling the world, “We’re too dumb to drill our own oil,” what incentive is there for prices to drop?

There are some like Chris Lien who are taking a proactive “bull by the horns” look at the problem. We need to replace the passive ones and the ones on the wrong side of the issue with people who are willing to do something.

It’s those #@*$$% speculators again. Now that their pushing prices down Speaker of the House Polosi will really want a congressional investigation.

The majority of Americans don’t KNOW what natural resources we have in America. Oil is just one of those things killing us. Heck, with nuclear alone we could probably be self-sufficient. But I remember the HYPE on ‘the dangers of the microwave oven.’ They produced less radiation than going out into the sun, but people are ill informed.
I wonder how many farmers, that are against speculators, sell their crops in the futures market??
