Max Wetz on the STANtrum
From the Rapid City Journal, June 26, 2008:
Adelstein said he has been assured that the state Republican Party will support him during the campaign. GOP state executive director Max Wetz of Pierre confirmed that by e-mail on Wednesday, saying the party will work for Adelstein and all other Republican candidates throughout the state.
“Stan Adelstein is the Republican candidate for District 32 Senate,” Wetz wrote. “It is our job to elect Republicans, and we fully intend to do just that.”
It would seem to me that Adelkatus has drawn a line in the sand, and the party is refusing to step over it. The treatment of Elli in the name of the Party was inexcusable, at best. The party is going to take a hit over this, but Elli will continue to shine brightly as ever against the real democrat.
Taking a trip back memory lane, think back to the Pennington Lincoln Day Dinner when Judy Olson Duhamel was introduced and warmly welcomed with a round of applause. Since when was it OUR policy to kick out opponents? Was the ribbon cutting a top-secret campaign strategy meeting? I think not.
What do you all think?

Well said, I know that SA attended strategy sessions of the central committee during the time he was supporting democrats. I remember thinking that guy shouldnt even be in this room. I believe that we (county level republicans) need by-laws or a constitution or something that creates boundries for conduct and penalties for violating them. Being registered as a republican and paying yearly dues should not be the only requirement to attend strategy sessions about candidates campaigns.

Hear hear. Does anybody know what took place at the PennCo Central Committee meeting the other night? I’m out of the loop as of yet on that one.
